Hammertoes
Hammertoe is a deformity where the toe bends abnormally at the middle joint, causing the toe to resemble a hammer. The affected toe may be painful and have difficulty fitting into shoes.

Symptoms:
Pain or irritation when wearing shoes; Corns and calluses on the toe; Inflammation; Restricted toe movement; Difficulty finding comfortable footwear
Causes:
Muscle/tendon imbalance; Wearing shoes that are too tight or narrow; Genetic predisposition; Trauma or injury to the toe; Certain diseases like arthritis or diabetes
Treatments:
Wearing shoes with a roomy toe box; Orthotic devices; Padding and taping; Exercises to stretch and strengthen toe muscles; Surgery (in severe or rigid cases)
